When the pandemic happened, I was hunkered down in North Port. The most majestic sunrise I had ever experienced took place every morning in my back yard. Bigwig and I would sit on the living room floor in front of our sliding glass door and watch the dark become light to the sound of an orchestra. This was how we began each day, with our radio tuned to the classical station and the 6 AM daily Sunrise Symphony faithfully choreographing the morning dance of birds, wild rabbits, alligators, and bobcats.
To connect with what is wild in the world is to connect with the divine. We have so much to learn from the wildlings we share our lives with. I loved working on this book with Bigwig by my side. I hope you'll enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed creating it.
